Throat Problems

- Sore throat
These include problems like Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis, fungal infections, Diphtheria persistent sore throat, hoarseness, globus, and repetitive throat clearing.
- Tonsillitis
This bacterial infection causes inflammation in the throat, and symptoms include a sore throat, swollen tonsils, fever, white or yellow coating on the tonsils, issues swallowing, swollen neck glands, and bad breath.
- Lump in throat
Commonly seen in Gastric reflux disease, however other causes like foreign body or tumor in the food pipe can be the cause
- Swelling of neck
Several different problems can be responsible like inflammation of salivary glands (parotid, submandibular), tumors of thyroid gland, head & neck cancers etc.

Epiglottitis
This occurs when the epiglottis, the tissue at the base of the tongue that prevents food from entering the windpipe, becomes inflamed or infected. When the epiglottis swells, it can block the throat and airway, which can be a medical emergency. Symptoms include a sore throat that makes it difficult to swallow.
